Cecilia Viveiros battles a hidden learning disability that leaves teachers, her parents, and Cecilia herself baffled; Anna Kamens reluctantly welcomes a fourth grade newcomer who struggles socially; and Furquaan Syed, teased for his name and Muslim heritage, finds that violent solutions have a down side.
